Make your very own boutique chef table place settings using local raw materials from the Okanagan!
This course is designed to help you make a 7-piece set: two dinner plates, two side plates, two bowls and one serving platter.
The pinnacle of the Farm-to-Table practice is of course complimented by Hand-to-Table ceramics. If you have been thinking about that, then this class is for you!
Let this workshop take care of the details and join me for a flavourful full-day workshop where you’ll be guided through all the steps required to pull this off in one session.
- 6 hours including a Farm-to-Table catered lunch.
- All skill-levels are welcome.
- No experience needed just an open mind to the possibilities with clay.
- Learn specialized and traditional pottery techniques, along with handy tips/tricks-of-the-trade.
The class will begin with exploring various hand-building pottery methods followed by a demonstration, with the focus being on chef-tableware, design and finishing.
This course includes:
- All demonstration and high-level instruction.
- Clay, prepared slips, and underglazes.
- Ceramics templates and moulds.
- Wide selection of professional equipment and tools.
(Please Note: this is a one-day workshop with clay only!)
All completed projects will be microwave and dishwasher friendly!
After completion your pieces will be carefully slow dried, bisque-fired and glazed by Kiln 9 Ceramics with our house signature Local Apple Orchard Ash White Glaze.
This may take up to 3-4 weeks.
Once the ceramics are glaze-fired you will be notified when your pottery is ready to be picked up.
