Wanting to make your own custom set of handmade, slab-built drinking vessels?
Join me for a fun and inspiring afternoon exploring the world of everyday cups, mugs, tumblers and wobblers.
Have you been thinking of:
- The perfect handle on the perfect sized tea mug, custom made to fit your hand and thumb?
- The sweetest little espresso or cortado cup set?
- A comfy fleet of pinch-pot faceted tea bowls?
- Wobbly Whiskey Cups?
If you answered yes, maybe, or not-until-now, but …then this workshop is for you.
Let this amazing 3-hour workshop take care of the details.
- All skill-levels are welcome.
- No experience needed just an open mind to the possibilities with clay.
- Learn specialized and traditional pottery techniques, along with handy tips/tricks-of-the-trade.
- Each participant may make 4 (or more) drinking vessels.
The class will begin with exploring various hand-building pottery methods followed by a demonstration with the focus being on the various drinking vessels mentioned above. There will be some completed work around the studio for reference and/or inspiration.
This course includes:
- All demonstration and high-level instruction.
- Clay, prepared slips, and underglazes.
- Ceramics templates and moulds.
- Wide selection of professional equipment and tools.
(Please Note: this is a single-day creation workshop with clay only!).
All completed projects will be microwave and dishwasher friendly!
After completion your pieces will be carefully slow dried, bisque-fired and glazed by Kiln 9 Ceramics with our house signature Local Apple Orchard Ash White Glaze.
This may take up to 3-4 weeks.
Once the ceramics are completely glaze-fired you will be notified when your pottery is ready to be picked up.
